Getting bored with the routine and bustle of the city, me, my sister and cousin decided to go to Bogor just for a short getaway. A city in West Java located about 1.5 hours drive from Jakarta. But, we didn’t go to Bogor directly. My cousin told me about the pine forest at Gunung Pancar, said to be quite popular these days among young people.
A brief introduction about Pancar Mountain Nature Park. It is situated in the village of middle reef Citeureup Bogor, famous for its hot spring baths. It is one of the tourist destinations in the Sentul area.
For the access to the pine forest itself, it is best to drive to get there as not many option of using public transportations. The road leading to the pine forest is quite small and narrow. The admission fee per pax is Rp. 10,000 and the parking fee is Rp. 7,500 per vehicle.
You can smell the scent of pine forest upon entering the mountain area. It is a typical natural forest filled with charmed tree-lined pine trees and other trees. This place is perfect for those who want to have some picnic with family or friends, mountain biking, trekking, or photography as well. It is also a destination for camping and outbound activities.
